Working with children and music is the best combination one could ask for. We are honored to be able to spend time each week with you and with your children.
We run a piano studio at Riverton Music in Sandy, as well as our home studio space in Salt Lake City. We love working with students of all ages and levels. Our goal is to provide a safe and happy environment where your child can gain musical skills and enjoy the process of learning to play the piano.
We also offer a pre-reading music course for young children, ages 4-7. "Minimusic" This class is taught in a group setting, and is the very best course available for parents wanting their children to begin music lessons at a younger age. Upon completion of this nine month course, these students are a step ahead in beginning their piano lessons.
Minimusic is a nine month music theory course for children ages 4-7. We also offer a three month-accelerated course for ages 6-8.
The Minimusic course is taught in preparation for learning the piano or any other musical instrument. It is taught away from the piano in a group setting.
Theory concepts are taught through songs, games, worksheets, and class activities.

Upon completion of the Minimusic course, students are prepared to begin regular music lessons, be it piano, voice, violin, etc.
As they begin their music lessons, graduates have a working knowledge of all the pre-reading concepts, which frees up their mind to concentrate on physically playing their instrument!
